Eight formats, one library
PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, Markdown, TXT, CSV and HTML extracted into a single SQLite library you keep in a folder you choose.

Search that handles Chinese
Overlapping CJK bigrams plus local BAAI/bge-small-zh-v1.5 vectors, fuzzy filename matching, recency weighting and click feedback in the ranking.

Answers point at a place
Snippets carry the PDF page, the Excel sheet and row, the PPT slide, or the Markdown heading — not just a filename.

Encrypted files are annotated, not broken
Protected files stay searchable by name and path; body indexing starts once they are readable. Nothing is decrypted or bypassed.

Keeps up by itself
Scans at launch, watches with FSEvents and reconciles periodically, so the index tracks the folders you actually use.

The model ships with the app
The 107 MB arm64 build bundles the local embedding model; search works with the network switched off.

macOS builds are Developer ID signed and notarised by Apple. Checksums are published with the release manifest.
Artifacts over the Pages file limit stay pending until the binary bucket is live. Ask and we will send those directly.
